By accessing and using SafeToolsHub (safetoolshub.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or tools.

2. Description of Services

SafeToolsHub provides free online tools for digital security and privacy, including but not limited to: password generation, image metadata removal, URL shortening, PDF manipulation, and content downloading tools. Most tools operate entirely within your web browser (client-side).

3. Acceptable Use

You may use our tools for the following purposes:

  • Personal security and privacy protection
  • Educational and research purposes
  • Testing and development
  • Creating strong passwords for your accounts
  • Removing metadata from your own images before sharing
  • Managing your own PDF documents
  • Backing up content you have the right to download for personal use

4. Prohibited Use

You may NOT use our tools for:

  • Illegal activities — Any use that violates local, national, or international law.
  • Copyright infringement — Downloading or distributing copyrighted content without authorization.
  • Spam or abuse — Using our URL shortener or other tools to distribute spam, malware, or phishing links.
  • Fraud — Any deceptive or fraudulent activity.
  • Harassment — Using our tools to harass, stalk, or harm others.
  • Automated abuse — Using bots or scripts to abuse our services beyond reasonable personal use.

5. Tool-Specific Disclaimers

5.1 Password Generator

Our password generator uses cryptographic randomness to create passwords. While we strive to generate strong passwords, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend using a reputable password manager to store your passwords and enabling two-factor authentication where available.

5.2 Image Metadata Remover

Our metadata removal tool strips common EXIF data from images by re-rendering them through the HTML Canvas API. While this removes most metadata, we cannot guarantee that all possible metadata formats are removed. For highly sensitive use cases, we recommend verifying the output with specialized forensic tools.

5.3 URL Shortener

Our URL shortener stores data locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not host redirect services — shortened URLs are for demonstration and organizational purposes. Do not use this tool to shorten links to malicious, phishing, or illegal content.

5.4 Text Encryption

Our text encryption tool uses AES-256-GCM encryption via the Web Crypto API. While this provides strong security, the overall protection depends on the strength of the password you choose. We are not responsible for data loss if you forget your encryption password. Always keep your passwords in a safe place.

5.5 Hash Generator & Speed Test

Our hash generator produces cryptographic hashes using standard algorithms (SHA-256, SHA-512). Hash results should be verified against trusted sources when used for file integrity checks. The internet speed test provides approximate measurements that may vary based on network conditions, server load, and other factors.

5.6 PDF Tools

Our PDF tools process documents entirely in your browser. While we use established libraries (pdf-lib), we cannot guarantee that all PDF features will be preserved during merge, split, or compression operations. Always verify the output and keep backups of your original files.

6. General Disclaimer

SafeToolsHub tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Use our tools at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafeToolsHub and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our tools, including but not limited to: data loss, security breaches resulting from generated passwords, incomplete metadata removal, or corrupted PDF files.

8. Intellectual Property

The SafeToolsHub website, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without permission. The tools themselves are free to use as intended.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of SafeToolsHub after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SafeToolsHub shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
